    Default External HDD became diskette

I was installing some drivers from the ASRock utility disc when it asked me to generate serial ATA driver diskette. Foolishly, i typed Y twice forgotting that my external HDD was plugged in.

Now it has become a diskette and it only reads 1.44mb instead of 1tb. Any advice on converting it back to its original state as I have a number of drawings in the HDD.

I don't think I'd go looking there for any help. Unless you want to format it.

Speaking of format, did the util format your HD to 1.44 while you clicking those Y's? I've always slipstreamed or used newer d/l'd drivers instead of relying on the usually outdated drivers/utilities supplied on Support CD's that come included inside the box.

Try removing the 1tb drive, reboot, and connect it to a different port
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.

#3 - Please use the eXtreme Outer Vision Power Supply Calculator found HERE to determine if it might be your PSU at issue.
