The machine as I mentioned in the post it is extremely slow in booting,.There are 4 minutes ( I counted with a sport watch) since the power switch has been pushed to the user log in page shown up. Once a user ( log in ) has been clicked then it has to wait 3 minutes the start sound can be heard. When the Windows start, I mean when a program can be clicked, the program start very slow, for example when the IE (Internet Explore 8) was clicked you have to wait about 1 minutes the home page can show up. It is extremely slow compared to my old Celeron 540 intel desktop.

First place I'd go looking is in Event Viewer.

Is you current XP x64 running the original release, or SP2?
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#3 - Please use the eXtreme Outer Vision Power Supply Calculator found HERE to determine if it might be your PSU at issue.
____Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.

I have one Celeron 540 intel, MSI motherboard, 8GB memory. SATA/IDE adapted IDE HDD installed with XP 32bit. From the power switch pushed to the user log in page shows up only 35 seconds, much faster than this new one.
