    Mate,

Trying to get 2 cards going let alone 3 or 4, at the moment both cards are running fine in slots 3 & 7 so haven't spent any further time on this however in regards to the voltage I'm not quite sure what settings to change in the bios to up the video voltage, google it and see what you get.
Have you connected the sli/xfire PWR on board as suggested previously in this thread? Updated your Bios to latest? R u sure you can quad sli a GTx 590, they already have 2 GPU's don't they so that will be 8 GPU in total right? I imagine you have at least a 1200 Watt PSU right?
Good luck and hope you find a solution.

For anyone following this thread I've logged a call with Asrock and will be doing some further testing on weekend.

I have a trip. GTX 590 set up on my Asrock Extreme9 which I cannot get to go quad because of a conflict between Slot 1 and 3. Interesting part is I was running fine with quad GTX 580 Classified moments before. I just swapped out to the GTX 590 and thought it would be a snap replacement of cards but what a surprise it was not! What changed? I actually have all four of the cards in with slots filled 1,3,5,and 7 but windows is only showing 3 video cards.

I did read somewhere here that maybe you could find success in using these slots by upping the voltage in the Bios and I am leaning toward that now as it is just too strange that I was able to use all 4 slots with 580's but moments later could not with 590's. Anyone know where I might be able to find the correct voltage setting to tweak in the bios?

The motherboard user manual shows a PCH Voltage setting, but I don't know if this would help.
Maybe increasing one of the cpu voltage settings might affect the pcie lanes.

Buzby's PC Specs shows that he has a Seasonic 1250 watt GOLD rated psu, so he's fine as long as his system doesn't draw more than ~1100 watts A.C. from the outlet for an extended period of time.

Update- I set up using 3,5, and 7 last night using 3 as the display and just plugged in my 4th 590 into slot one and I now was able to boot with full display. I was only showing 3 cards in Windows Device Manager so I did a clean install of Nvidia 310.90 and that was it I am now 100% quad in all 4 slots with no changes to the BIOS The Beast is Released!

Wonder how wide spread the problem is? There would have to be others out running sli tri sli or even quad with this type of board. Thats the only reason you would purchase board like this.

Let you know if anything surfaces.

Ohh by the way your suppose to get smoother performance in SLI using native CPU lanes as opposed to using PLEX Chip, interesting to see if this is case if I ever get the board fixed.

    Cheers

Hello, I discovered that I mean that would be the VTT Voltage serving propio for the pci-e, from what I understand Asrock leaves him too low in the bios is you have to turn it up to avoid this problem with vga, try setting in bios VTT Voltaga to 1.30 but never exceed 1.35, I have my gtx 670 in pci-e 1 and 5 and seems to be fine now, try to do it yourself and let me know

Thanks for reply, no luck unfortunately. Turned VTT voltage up as high as 1.35v with no success, after about 10 minutes of game play or running Heaven she locks up, at best I'm able to CTRL, ALT Delete and return to desktop, other times it complete locks up PC and need reboot. How is your PC going you need to run it for at least 10 to 15 minutes. To be honest mine appears heat related, soon as temperature rises it locks up. No problem with PCI-E slots 3 and 7 though only when in 1 & 5. If you hear anything please let me know.

    Thanks

while I have set the vtt to 1.30 and the cards in slots 1 and 5 game for many hours Far Cry 3 with no problem, do this test Invert cards that first test by putting in slot 1 and 5, and if you have problems the Invert moving the slot 5 in 1 and the slot 1 in 5, try and let me know, in my temperatures do not exceed 70 degrees with the curvature of the fans of automatic

Yeah I thought of swapping cards around previously and will give it ago tomorrow. As for voltages I also increased my PCH voltage which has been known to resolve SLI stability problems without luck.

If it's a heat problem its not related to cards as they run same temperature regardless if there in slots 1 & 5 or 3 & 7.

I'm in to farCry 3 as well and can play for hours with cards in slots 3 & 7 but not 1 & 5.

Thanks for reply I will try swapping cards tomorrow.

Yes, I work and I have exchanged in slot 1 and 5, as soon as you test yourself to invert
