Lightbulb New System Built FM2 Extreme 6 Reboots

    Hi there,

I built this new system last night. All cool yes. I was playing farmville 2 on Zynga then all of a sudden i got a black screen then the system instantly rebooted. I do not know why. I thought ok i will play Farmville 2 again one hour later then the same happened again. Later on i turned the system off before i went to bed,I woke up and the system was powered on. I do not know why this had happened.

I am wondering too if i am getting what i want out the processor and GPU.

I have a 500WATT OEM Power Supply running on the board. I know this supports the 8 Pin Connector but this one only had 4.

I enabled IES in the ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility today and the Clock Levels and Multipler has been changing every second or 2. I am wondering if me enabling this has done the trick. Even so i need to find where the problem is and wondering if anyone can help.

I have posted a picture of the Hardware Monitor

Well, first up your DRAM voltage looks suspicious. 1.165v? What's the memory p/n? Are the two sticks part of a matched 2x4GB kit, or two individually purchased sticks? Having the part number will allow us to see what voltage and if indeed it is 1333 memory that your CPU-Z shows. But at this point something here is far amiss concerning the memory.

Secondly, if THIS is your psu, EZCool 500w PS-10, I'd consider getting something a bit newer spec wise and preferably one carrying a recognizable brand name. Your 12v, 5v, and 3v are all over the +/-3% fudge factor for regulation.

Can you double check that code? Google returns ZERO results while using it.

    Much better. Thanks.

Go into the BIOS and set the mem speed to 1600, change the DRAM voltage to 1.5v, reboot, re-enter the BIOS and check that the timings of 9-9-9-24 are properly configed, making any necessary timing changes.

Let us know how it goes after making the above changes.

I'd have to pass on that one. There's just no way it outputs 32A on each of the 4 rails it provides. Antec's High Current series, HCP-750 model does 40A per, yet costs 4+ times as much.
And I had to look HERE to find the specs/rails/output.

Don't buy on ad hype or on looks.

Is there a budget you must be within? Is Scan, Amazon, or another UK based site ok for me to look on?
