    Default H77M-ITX / Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 Issues

    System Configuration:

    CPU: Intel i3-3225
    Motherboard: H77M-ITX
    HD: Samsung 840 120GB
    GPU: Onboard
    UEFI/BIOS Version: 1.6
    OS: Win 7 x64 Ultimate

For the life of me I cannot get the motherboard to recognize my Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 tuner. With the card in the PCIe slot the "System Browser" displays the PCIe slot as empty, and Windows 7 does not detect the hardware.

I've validated that the PCIe slot is functioning by successfully testing it with a Nvidia 8400GS GPU.

I've also tested the WinTV-HVR-1250 tuner in two separate systems and it is successfully detected by Windows 7 using both PCIe x1 and x16 slot configurations.

I've submitted a request with ASRock technical support, but I thought I'd post here to see if anyone else has experienced this same issue? I've seen a few other posts on this form with compatibility problems with ASRock / Hauppauge equipment but not this specific configuration.

This appears to be a hardware compatibility issue with the motherboard and not necessarily a hardware problem with the motherboard (which would require RMA).

    Hi user12345,

Please kindly update BIOS P1.40A from H77M-ITX beta zone to try again.
Beta zone link: ASRock > H77M-ITX

If any question, please kindly contact me.

    Have a nice day

Any chance this BIOS will work for my H77 Pro4/MVP? I am having exactly the same issue with my Asus EHD3-100 tuner. It initially worked in the x1 slot, then became intermittently recognized/invisible. It was not recognized at all in the first x16 slot, but worked for 2 weeks in the second. Now it's invisible in the BIOS again no matter where I plug it in.

I have not yet tried any of the beta zone BIOSes specific to this board.

    Please help!
