    I need to be able to boot my pc in safe mode. Do you know how to boot an ASRock z68 Extreme3 Gen3 in safe mode?

    So long as we're talking Windows "Safe Mode", press or hold the F8 key immediately after the BIOS finishes POSTing.

    There is no "Safe Mode' that you can access the MB/BIOS with.

    I wonder how long MS has used F8 to initiate Safe Mode? I mean does that date back to Windows 95, or earlier? Probably does.
