    Default Profiles gone!?

    Hi ..running Z68 extreme4 gen3 and just whacked in 3770k chip and updated to latest bios ....however I cant find the preset overclocks in the bios anymore!?have they gone? if so how do I get back to 4800 what I had before with my sandy bridge - cheers guys

    The setting(s) you had for the SB would have most likely wreaked havoc with the 3770k anyways.

    Best to begin anew with the new proc.

    Excellent point! I've noticed that some BIOS updates seem to do that, remove the user saved BIOS profiles, and I wondered why. This explains it, the previous profile, if only in one option different, is no longer compatible. That happened on BIOS updates that were much simpler, rather than for a major hardware changes, like changing from SB to IB CPUs. In that case, you must start from scratch, that's a given.

    wheelscene, you did not mention what type of profiles you lost. Were they built in, automatic OC profiles? Or profiles that you saved yourself in the BIOS, or saved with AXTU?

    Hi thanks for getting back to me ...they were the standard auto profiles where you just set max or something and its oc to the max. One click over clock type thing. Have reset but still not come back.thanks
