Hello community, I have just completed my new build which includes the following,(Asrock Extreme 9 Motherboard),(AMD Fx 8350 CPU)(16Gb DDR3 @1333Mhz 7-7-7-21),(Saphire HD 7770),(750w Cooler Master PSU),(Zalman CPU cooler),(Raidmaix Smilodon case)(Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit).As you can see its a budget Pc.Now I will shoot straight to the point.I have been testing out this Motherboard and CPU,and for some reason it seems a tab slower than my previous Fx 6200.So today I had this idea to disable two of the 8 cores, and what I found is that it has boosted my performance significantly in windows 7.I am scratching my head on this one.wondering if I have a bottle neck or if its, windows 7,Mothereboard or the CPU.Really just want to get some opinions, facts or to see if someone has had similar problems as this.Maybe we can come up with a solution to this problem on Tweaktown.
