Angry ASRock Extreme 4 - USB 3.0 connection problem

    Hello,
I have a ASRock Extreme 4 mainboard and I have some issues with the USB 3.0 ports from Intel. I cann't get my usb cardreader and the harddisk connected...
If I plugin a device it gets connected. After a few seconds it disconnects and connect again and thats at random.

    Things I have already done

    - Installed newest driver from ASRock Homepage and from Intel (tried both)
    - deactivated energysaving for USB
    - deactivated legacy mode for USB 3.0
    - Installed BIOS 2.80

    HELP! Pls! T_T

How long is your usb 3.0 cable?
Is the cable an inexpensive brand/model?

I have an inexpensive 6 foot long usb 3.0 cable that doesn't play nice with my external usb 3.0 hard drive.
The 3 foot long usb 3.0 cable that came with the external hard drive never has any problems.
I had to use both of these usb 3.0 cables together for a total length of 9 feet when I wanted to be able to connect the external drive to both of my systems without having to physically move the drive.

Do you have the same problems when using the Intel and ASMedia rear usb 3.0 ports?
Are there any errors in windows Device Manager?
Can you test each of your usb 3.0 rear panel ports by plugging a usb 3.0 flash drive directly into each port?

I just tested both of my Adata S102/16GB usb 3.0 flash drives over my 6 ft. (1.24m) long cable by running a MalwareBytes scan on each drive and didn't have any problems. My P35-DS3L has a HighPoint 1022A usb 3.0 add-in pcie controller that uses an ASMedia chip.
My external hard drive is a 3TB Toshiba Canvio model that has its own power brick.

I already tried the asmedia at the rear and they work perfect.
The Intel rear ports have the same issues as the internal ports (front ports).
No errors. The device is only disconnected and I can hear the sound and than connected again and so on.
