Hi to all, i have this to motheboard and i want to upgrade the Hard Disk. I want to install a 1TB HD on that motherboard, but i can't find on the ASRock website what is the max supported HD size for each mother. Anyone can confirm that with this 2 motherboard i can install without any problem an HD of 1 TB?

Gather your board only supports IDE drives?

    (I have a 4CoreDual-VSTA & that has both IDE & SATA. I've got a 400 & 450 GB IDE's installed ATM. Probably never had SATA's in this machine?)

    What OS & BIOS version?
Depending on OS, there may have been a 137GB HDD limit.
But you already have a 250GB HDD in there, so that isn't an issue for you.

I would think (but don't know for sure) there should be no problem with a 1TB (IDE) HDD.

From the ASRock > 775Dual-VSTA web page:
    • 2 x SATA 1.5 Gb/s connectors, support RAID (RAID 0, RAID 1, and JBOD) and Hot Plug functions

Which operating system version are you running? 32-bit? 64-bit?
I don't recall offhand if a 32-bit operating system will natively support a 1TB hard drive.
Bios version 3.10 from 3/4/2008 is the most recent version listed for your motherboard.
