    Default Hardware-Assisted Virtualization: 890FX Deluxe4

    Hey, all,

I'm trying to get Windows XP Mode to run in my Windows7 64-bit.

It says, however, that hardware-assisted virtualization is disabled, and that I need to enable it through my BIOS.

Looked around, a bit, but didn't see anything that looked like what I needed.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Motherboard: ASRock 890FX Deluxe4
    BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. P1.50, 11/23/2010

    Thanks,
    Jere

BTW, I'm not familiar with virtualization, but does your AMD cpu support virtualization?
You have provided very little in the way of a detailed hardware list.

We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs portion of your

My intent was not to break any forum rules. If you could provide a link to those rules so I know what is/isn't accepted, I would appreciate it.

If you can better specify what kinds of info you'd like to see, I can provide it.

    Thank you

We have few hard and fast forum rules.
Spam posts and/or flaming will get the poster permanently banned.

If you can't accept the no bumping suggestion you are free to go find forums that allow bumping.
Imagine how useless the forum list would be if even 10% or 25% of the members frequently bumped their threads.
A few posters have bumped their thread after several days, but this is a rare occurrence here.

What kind of information should you provide? Everything!
Maybe someone needs to know how much memory you have.
Win7 x64, fine but win7 Home Premium doesn't support some types of virtualization.

Be a sport and spend 10 minutes to fully fill in your PC Specs forum template.
If we have all the information we need upfront, we can provide advice much quicker.

Have you done any web searches similar to: win7 amd hardware assisted virtualization
I just did and found several links that might help.

Some new posters will also mention upfront that they have searched the web for possible solutions.
We might be able to suggest some specific sites that you should check out.
