Used this machine for a short period with Win 8 Prox64 - USBs seemed fine
Installed Win 7 HPx64, as requested by friend who is getting machine, updated Etron USB 3.0, drivers to 0.96 WHQL
All other Win 7 drivers installed also
    BIOS 2.30 version
USB ports are not working with consistency, reads some flash drives, not others.
Reads some in back USB 2.0 ports, but no where else.
Recognizes some flash drives, but cannot access them.
Flash drive show up in Computer Management - Disk Management - but not in Windows Explorer.
In Windows Explorer drives show up in right panel under COMPUTER, but not in left panel tree.
Sometimes drives take as long as 2 minutes before the Auto Play options box appears.

I have exhausted my knowledge/experience base to no avail, suggestions appreciated.

Here is the 0.115 beta driver, it may help.

Good News - Thanks, those drivers certainly improved the situation.
Bad News - In the course of dealing with this issue, I followed a suggestion to "disable legacy USB support" in the BIOS.
Now I can't get back into the BIOS, apparently what I did disables the keyboard during boot up so F2/Delete keys won't work.
    Solve 1 thing, create another.......

    Thanks again.

Clear CMOS and you should be able to gain access to BIOS again
