    funny how they dont update the drivers for the extreme 4 970. but they do on the others. i will try this when i get home

    You're right, I have seen the same thing with Intel boards made by ASR. If I am right, the problem is caused by the default "settings" in the OC tweaker screen of your AXTU. They do not match the OC Tweaker CPU settings you have in the BIOS. The CPU voltage settings won't be the same, the CPU multiplier may be different, and any of the other settings can be just wrong when combined together. So when the Auto Run is checked, those settings are applied and... BSOD.

    I complained about this in the AXTU equivalent program for the new Intel Haswell CPU board I use. They fixed it but that was not done for the AXTU version used by my earlier ASRock board. Check the settings in the AXTU OCTweaker screen and you'll see what I mean.
