I have 1866 ram in my pc and it only shows 1600 and if i overclock it will show 920. I have moved ram from slots A1 B1 to A2 B2 with the same results i running bios version 1.5 is this a common problem and can it be remedied ..system specs below.

The 920 most likely represents 1840 as DDR memory in most reporting programs shows half the actual speed.

DDR means Double Data Rate, and for every cycle of the memory's actual speed (say 800MHz) two data transfers occur, so the actual memory speed is twice the frequency (800 x 2 = 1600.)

As Wardog said, some programs show the true frequency (like 920MHz) rather than the actual data rate (1840.) CPU-Z does this. So no problem.
