Default Fatal1ty H87 Performance + kingston ram question

    Hey guys!

Been looking around the boards, and googling in general, but I couldn't find a proper answer.

I recently purchased the parts for my first build, after doing some proper research, but something
has sprung to mind, I had chosen a kingston hyperx blu 1600mhz 2x8gb, but then I found an offer (and I went for i)

    Kingston HyperX 10th Anniversary Series DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL10 2x8GB (KHX16LC10X3K2/16X)

Looking at Kingson's site, they fail to mention the board I just bought (Designed to work with P55, H67, P67, Z68, H61 (AG), X79 and Z77 Intel chipsets), a Fatality H87 performance, ASrock's site say they support dual channel DD3, but clicking on the memory support list link, throws nothing. So my question (bear with me, I'm a newb) would be if my board is compatible with that ram.

    Specs:

    Xeon E3-1240v3
    said RAM
    H87 Fatl1ty Performance
    PSU tx550m
    R9 280x

Apologies in advance if this question has already been answered, and thanks in advance for the help!

Looking at the Kingston website, the 10th anniversary HyperX memory was announced several months before Haswell was released. As you pointed out, Kingston doesn't include Haswell H87 or Z87 systems as being compatible with the 10th anniversary memory kits. There have been many forum threads that deal with memory incompatibility with Haswell systems. Will you new memory work well with your H87 motherboard? Maybe, probably not.

Using the Kingston Memory Search feature for ASRock H87 Pro4 resulted in several of their lower performing Value Ram memory kits and the list didn't include any HyperX kits. Using their memory search for a mid-range Gigabyte Z87 motherboard only listed one of their HyperX memory kits. I didn't find your H87 Fatl1ty Performance motherboard in their search list for ASRock motherboards.

You can email Kingston tech support from their website and ask them which memory kits they recommend for your motherboard and see if they have tested the 10th anniversary HyperX memory with your motherboard.

Let us know what Kingston has to say.

    Thanks for the answer!

I actually did mail Kingston, just in case, it's a weekend, so I'll have to wait a few days for an answer. Thanks again! I think I'll keep researching a bit more.
