    Default ASRock Z77 Extreme6

Built this system in October, it's been running with 0 issues until this morning. Now when I turn on the system it powers up for an instant then immediately shuts down. It won't turn on again unless I turn off the psu for 30 seconds or click the clear cmos button.

I've detached every possible extra component and stripped the system down to the motherboard out of the case with just the cpu, heat sink fan and RAM.

I've tested the power supply manually and to power up an older pc, but I don't have an easily accessible other power supply to test on this motherboard.

Is there anything else I can try?

I absolutely LOVE this motherboard, by the way. It's been the most convenient I've ever used in 20+ years.

Live in SW Michigan? I've got a PSU for you to try with.

What make and model PSU you have? Was it a carry-over from an old build?

Turns out it was the PSU after all. I managed to power up with an old power supply.
