    Default 20+4 pin PSU to Z87 Extreme4

1st build, just want to clarify the connection from OCZ ZT750W PSU to MOBO. All 20+4 pins connected to PSU and 20pin only connected to board. Is this correct? Thanks

You want to connect the 20+4 pin connectors to the motherboard and a separate 4-pin ATX_12V or 8-pin EPS12V connector to the proper motherboard connector. Read your motherboard user manual for more information and the location of the power supply's cable connector locations.

    Hello and Welcome.

    20+4 to MB, right edge
8pin to MB, top edge - The ZT series pdf found HERE refers to it as "4+4-pin 12V ESP/CPU". The ZT750 has two of these.

pdf can also be found on the Specs page below:

Nah, I'm waiting on the HDD, should receive tomorrow. Although the 20+4 pin slid right in after detaching (4 from 20) and jiggling around a little in MB slot. What threw me the first time was the tabs on either end which the 4 pin is attached to, thought that was preventing insertion. Lol, trying to keep things simple now and not over-think. Working on fan wiring now. I'll chime in when up & runnin', thanks again.

Update: Well after countless "life" delays, I blew a month of dust out of machine hooked up fans and it fired right up. I'm at the ASRock bios screen now, which brings another question to mind which I'll post in the appropriate section.
