Yea, the 1068E has a hardware limit of 2TB.

Before my M1015's I had some Supermicro AOC-USASLP-L8i cards that are in the UIO format. In jury rigging them to fit "outside' their intended chassis I now seem to remember one behaving that way too now that I think of it.

Glad to hear you got it sorted and working. Thanks for the update.

Would a CardKeeper (<- link) suit your needs in stabilizing the card and cables that hang off it? Mounting the card horizontal with the unruly SFF cables does induce stress.
#1 - Please, when seeking help, enter the make and model of ALL parts that your system is comprised of in your Signature, or at least the model #'s in your System Specs, then "Save' it.
____If you are overclocking, underclocking, or undervolting any parts, informing us of this and their values would prove beneficial in helping you.

#3 - Please use the eXtreme Outer Vision Power Supply Calculator found HERE to determine if it might be your PSU at issue.
____Consider your PSU to be the foundation from which all else is built upon. Anything built upon a weak foundation is poorly built.

Yeah, something like a CardKeeper would often be useful. On my particular setup though, the card is installed vertically in the server, so the cables don't weight it down the bad way. The card is a second hand part, so I'm thinking that perhaps it was previously installed horizontally and bend a little (not that I could see that with a naked eye), so it now has to be installed in a somewhat bend position to get a good contact. Probably doesn't help that the card is x8 and slot is x16.
