    Default Four beeps VisionX 420D

Im running a standard out of the box ASRock VisionX 420D.

When I have connected everything, monitor, keyboard, mouse and power(lol).
The CPU fan starts and I get 4 short beeps.

I have tried other RAM sticks, from my other ASRock HTPC that works but no change.

Been trying to search and find out exactly what "4 short beeps mean" but cant find anything.

Anyone here know what these beeps stand for?

    Dear Kimmi,

We only define 3 beeps and 5 beeps in our BIOS.
3 beeps means system cannot detect the memory module
5 beeps means system doesn't recognize the graphics.

Please help to double check if the beep sound is 4 beeps.

Becuase Chinese New Year holiday is coming, I may not reply to you immediately.
If the symptom still cannot be solved, please contact ASRock US branch for assistance.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for fast reply.

I removed the ram modules and listened to the 3 beeps.

The four (yes, I am sure it is four) beeps is a difference frequenzy then the 3 beeps the BIOS sends about the ram module.

I removed the CPU and put it back in place, and now the 4 beeps stoped.
I still have no vidoe signal.

I was woundering if there is a special positon the torx scew that locks the CPU should be in?

and second, is there anything that needs to be done, in order to swap the i5 4200M CPU and try a new i7-4800MQ CPU?
