Default Bios DRAM frequency setting greyed out and fixed to 333Mhz in asrock 4Core1333Viiv mobo.

    Hi, this is my system:

Motherboard: Asrock 4Core1333-Viiv BIOS version 1.60
    CPU : Intel Core2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz
    RAM : Kingston KHX6200D2LLK2/4G (PC2-6400U DDR2-800) 2 modules kit 2GB each
    Kingston KHX6200D2LLK2/2G (PC2-6400U DDR2-800) 2 modules kit 1GB each

My problem is that BIOS doesn't recognize properly my RAM modules and in the
advanced settings the DRAM Frequency setting where I should be able to select in
    a submenu between [Auto], [266MHz (DDRII533)], [333MHz
(DDRII667)], [400MHz (DDRII800)] is greyed out in a read only state with the fixed
    value of 333MHz.
Can You please help me to solve this problem?

    Thank You all.

Did this problem happen just after you installed one or both of your memory modules?

Mixing the two slightly different memory modules may be causing your problem.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS/BIOS, and checking if the memory settings are available again?

If that does not work, then try flashing the BIOS over again to the 1.60 version.
