Default AsRock H81 and CPU compatibility

Hello, please can someone advise if the AsRock H81 is compatible with the Intel BX80637G1620 Celeron G1620 Dual Core CPU? Intel BX80637G1620 Celeron G1620 Dual Core CPU (2.70GHz Processor, Socket 1155, 2MB, Ivy Bridge, 55W, Intel Graphics, Retail, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Some people have said it is compatible, but others have said it won't fit the slot on the mobo and I should get the Intel - Box(BX80646G1820) Intel - Box(BX80646G1820): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

It would be great to get some clarity on this. Thanks in advance.

It's really quite simple, all H81 boards, like all Intel 8 series chipset boards, are designed for socket 1150 processors.

The Celeron G1620 is a socket 1155 processor, which can be used only in Intel 6 and 7 series chipset boards, and will not physically fit in the 1150 socket.

A Celeron G1820 is a socket 1150 processor, and will fit in any H81 board.

Thanks makes perfect sense, and I appreciate you taking the time to answer. I need a CPU that fits so I will go with your recommendation. Thanks again, much appreciated.
