    Default H77 Pro4/MVP + I5 3450S + ADATA DDR3 1866 - can not activate XMP for DDR3 1866

Hi all - my system consists of H77 Pro4/MVP motherboard + I5 3450S CPU + ADATA DDR3 1866 4GBx2 RAM (model no. AX3U1866GC4G9B-DG2). However, I can not get the RAM to run at 1866. The highest speed I can set it to is 1600. The option to enable XMP does NOT appear in BIOS. Can anyone help? I think I remember that the XMP option was available when I tested the board using my I3 3220 CPU. I am already running the latest BIOS version 1.70. Could it be that the BIOS does not fully recognize the I5 3450S (as opposed to non-S) CPU as one that supports XMP? Thanks very much.

Using a program such as CPU-Z, navigate to the SPD tab and look that there's one or more XMP Profiles programmed onto the sticks chip.

If XMP is not present, the BIOS won't see/read XMP.

Yes the RAM has an XMP profile. Even in the BIOS System Browser it shows the XMP profile. It just doesn't give the option to enable it.

I'm referring to the online manual available to me while replying so please bear with me and base any replies my way while remembering this.

BIOS > OC Tweaker there's the line there on this page "DRAM Frequency ---------Auto" , what is shown/displayed when you click on that 'Auto" to the right of DRAM Frequency?

Also, please install CPU-Z and while looking at the SPD tab report back what XMP Revision("SPD Ext." on the upper half of the SPD tab) the sticks are programmed with?
