    Default Backup ssd slow to Sata3_A1

    Hi all, First time I installed my new Samsung evo 250GB, on Intel Sata3_0 channel I backed it up with Acronis to a western digital black sata 3 500GB connected to Asmedia channel A1 and speed was lightning quick 9 mins to backup 107GB or 83.7GB after compression, speed peeked at 205MB/s
    now for some reason speed during backup won't go passed 50MB/s, the destination drive was empty when I first backed up, and since then I have some other stuff on there, including 2 full Images the drive is still only half full.

    I know as drives fill up it the performance degrades, I tried switching off AV but no change, only thing I have done major since first backup is flash the bios.
    has anybody had similar happen, one thing I did notice was while the backup is running the ssd (os) reduces in size by 20GB until backup finishes, I have a 20GB unallocated partition for overprovisioning
    $ Thanks in advance
