Default 4th ASRock MB failure?? Cant take it anymore...

I think the MB is shot again!! 3 months or so after having to RMA my last board...which lasted about 3 months as well...I can't take anymore of this...

Went to restart computer, it was taking forever, finally restarted but monitor, keyboard and mouse didn't come back on. Computer powers on, but nothing else seems to power up with it, other then the fans. Same issue as last time I had to RMA it...

Any suggestions before RMAing it again?? I might just buy another board...don't have time to replace these crap ass quality boards every 3 month's. ASRock quality has gone to sh**...

Should have stuck to ASUS...328 posts to almost 6,000 for ASRock tells you all you need to know about the quality...

Maybe you're using an el cheapo power supply?

Maybe you're using a lower end motherboard that can't "properly" support your cpu?

We need detailed information about ALL OF THE HARDWARE in your system.

We can best help you after you create a detailed hardware list in the System Specs
portion of your forum profile at the bottom of the profile page or in your forum signature.
Be sure to include brand names and model numbers.
When you are done editing or creating your hardware list, save the settings.

    Definitely not a cheap PSU...

OCZ Mod X Stream Pro 700 which replaced a still working Antec 550 PSU which also isn't a cheap power supply

    CPU I7 2600k
    MEM GSkill Ripjawz 1600 DDR3

-I RMA'd these two things as well the second time the board went out to make sure it wasn't component issues, so these are under 1 year old...

Cooled with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO...never seen temps above 50 C even under heavy loads like playing Skyrim with multiple high res textures and 200+ mods

AMD Radeon 6850 HD video card

All these were retail box parts. Considering I've been building computers a long long time and have never had a MB fail before using ASRock products, which have now done so 4 times, I'd venture a guess its not the components...

It's a royal PITA for us when we have to go search for your hardware list each time we come back to your thread.

The most frequent forum contributors are helping in many threads at the same time and some threads have somewhat similar hardware setups.

It's my policy not provide help in threads where you don't provide a detailed hardware list.

As of now, I see two very knowledgeable ASRock forum members who have seen your thread but haven't replied.

I'm like a general practitioner with broad general knowledge, the other two members are very experienced and have very detailed ASRock knowledge.

Is it so hard to spend 10 - 15 minutes to create a detailed hardware list in your PC Specs or forum signature?

If you think that we can solve your problem in a couple of posts you're wrong.

It often takes several pages of posts to solve complex problems.

How much detail is needed? Look at my PC Specs and forum signature.

Please follow the directions where I said:

I'll put my specs in the signature but I don't think they have anything to do with a board that suddenly blows out every so often when the computer restarts, as if its got bad parts controlling that part of the board...

Signature not showing up for some reason, specs are listed in the "matter2003 PC specs" link under my name...

Your PC Specs are good, but it will help if you include the full model name/number of your memory.
Starting many ssd/hard drive benchmarking programs, such as AS SSD will usually show the model names for each drive in your system.

Now we can quickly and easily check or confirm your hardware setup.

I hope that the ASRock experts in the forum will overlook your attitude where you know best just how much we need to know.

With luck they, will try to help you.

I'm sorry, but I think if you had to RMA 4 ASRock boards(1 brand new in the box), you'd be a little PO'd too. There is no excuse for a MB to only last 3 months these days. I can't get that info because there is no power going to the peripherals, only the computer and fan powers up.
Keyboard, mouse and monitor have no power going to it.

As far as the experts being able to help, I don't think they can because I believe its a hardware failure. ASRock needs to find new engineers and/or quality control people because this is ridiculous.

I already sent a pretty ruthless message directly to ASRock support regarding this...

If I had 4 motherboards fail, once every 3 months I'd be royally PO'd.

My criticism is with your attitude that YOU know best what information WE need.

We are here to help owners who need advice, are frustrated and/or PO'd.

Giving us the information we request will help prevent errors, confusion, misunderstandings and let us get to the root of the problem faster.

Cooperation is a two way street.
