    Unhappy Asrock Extreme6 I7-4770K G.SKILL DDR3 wont post DR code 15 then 55

G.SKILL 16GB (2X8GB) FS-12800CL10D-16GBXL. Intel I7-4770K, HD graphics on board. Asrock Extreme6 wont post. Shows DR code 15 briefly, then 55. Have tried re-seating CPU, memory. Tried reset BIOS Tried booting from only one memory chip (each chip). Shows DR code 15 then 55. When booting from only one chip shows DR code 15. Removed Samsung XP941 M.2 drive. No joy. Wont boot. I usually buy Asus and I am little peeved that my first Asrock does not work. Any ideas?

Your Dr Debug POST codes are all memory related, 55 is The Memory could not be detected.

Your G.SKILL XL memory is listed in the memory QVL for your Z97 Extreme 6 board (I assume Z97.)

Your memory should be installed in memory slots A2 and B2 for the best results when using two DIMMs. Are you 100% sure that memory is working?

The DIMMS were installed in A2 and B2. I have since tried different memory chips also listed as supported and they get the same result. At this point I assume the MOBO is defective. I assume if the CPU were defective a different error code would be displayed? Or is it possible the CPU could be at fault?
