I bought my Seasonic SS-660XP2 from Newegg for $90 (after MIR with free shipping) in February 2013.

My Seasonic X650's after rebate price was $100 with free shipping in 2011.

There were no problems with either of the mail in rebates.

Some top of the line Super Flower modular power supplies were mostly modular and not fully modular.

Seasonic power supplies are my first choice and power supplies made by Super Flower are a close second.
Enjoy your new, virtually silent Seasonic power supply.
So that's when I bought my SS-660XP2, when you pointed out the sale to me. Plus we got the rebate, no problem. Doesn't seem like that long ago.

OMG talk about a bargain, it still thrills me. Given the size of this unit, 160mm/6.35" from power input to power output panel, and that the 860W version of this model is the same size in all three dimensions, whenever I see a physically larger 750W or less PSU with a larger fan, I can only think, why?

The over power protection (OPP), which monitors the combined total output of all rails, is set to kick in at 150% of the rated power. That makes the 660W unit a virtual 1000W beast! (50% of 660 is 330, 660 + 330 = 990W!) That spec is common to all the Platinum XP2 versions. Probably could not do that for long periods of time.

Virtually silent you say? The first time I ever saw the fan run was when I had to switch it to Normal mode to make sure the fan even worked! In Hybrid mode, no fan until ~30% load, I noticed the fan come on in the middle of summer once or twice at night when the AC was set to a higher temperature. The only way I noticed was the small strip of paper I had taped to the exhaust vent was moving due to the air flow.

I've been wondering about Seasonic Titanium rated PSUs, but isn't Titanium efficiency so far only available on 240VAC input regions?

Delta is supposed to be a top OEM of PC power supplies, if you can find one.

This was the original spec for 80Plus Titanium:

    From 80 Plus - Wikipedia:

From Ecova Plug Load Solutions there are currently only 11 different 115-volt Titanium rated power supply models.

I'm waiting for the newest Unobtainium rated power supplies that provide 105% efficiency with loads from 10% to 100% where these new power suply models will absorb and convert excess heat in the computer case for the additional 5% gain in power efficiency.
