Default ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility - Windows 8.1 problem

    Hi,

I have ASRock 970 extreme3 R2.0 and windows 8.1. Everything was okay and worked good until I have installed windows updates. Now when Extreme Tuning Utility starts the windows crashes and I need to reboot my PC. Does anyone knows how can i fix this?

I saw other thread in this forum about the same problem but I did not found the fix.

I'm not sure if this will work, but worth trying.

Uninstall the AXTU program in Windows. Then check the C:\Program Files folders, both standard and x86. You'll probably find AXTU folders in ASRock Utility folders.

Delete the AXTU folders, and then reboot the PC. Be sure to reboot the PC. You might want to run a registry cleaning program like CCleaner after you reboot to remove anything left behind from AXTU. You should reboot after cleaning the AXTU registry entries.

Then install AXTU again and hopefully it will work.
