    Default memory swap!

    Hi all

    I had a ASrock p67 fatal1ty pro motherboard 1155 socket
With 2 4gb ram. the motherboard had damage to it. One of the pins on the cpu socket was bent out of shape but the computer would boot up.

Now the computer wont load get a error message on the board saying no memory installed.

My question is will the ram from that motherboard work on a ASrock Z75 Pro3 motherboard.

these are the details of the ram installed in the ASrock p67 fatal1ty pro motherboard

Well, the specs of your ram are very common for ddr3, so I would say there is a chance of at least 99% it will work on the Z75 Pro too.

The Crucial memory finder shows two 8GB Tactical compatible kits for your ASRock Z75 Pro3 motherboard:

    1. 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V 512Meg x 64 upgrades for Z75 Pro3 Scheda Madre, CT2910804 from Crucial.com
    2. 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.35V 512Meg x 64 upgrades for Z75 Pro3 Scheda Madre, CT3587011 from Crucial.com

If your memory kit has the same part number as either of these kits you should be OK.

note: I used the Capacity, Speed and Series options in the memory finder to ignore other compatible kits with different capacity, speed and series specs.

    Thanks for the reply
sadly the parts numbers don't match so will have to buy new ram for it.

Crucial has a similar Tactical kit (BLT2KIT4G3D1608DT1TX0) that appears to have identical specs.
There might be a compatibility issue where they use different memory chips in each of the memory kit models.

From their memory finder compatibility results, it looks like some (or all) of the ASRock P67 and Z75 motherboards should use the CT2910804 kits if you want to use 1600MHz speeds. I did NOT check Crucial's compatibility results for all of the ASRock P67 and Z75 motherboard models.
