    Post What do these codes AA , A6 , 40 mean ?

    When I first boot and get into windows 8.1 I sometimes get code 40 or code A6 . If I restart I get code AA .

    Assuming your Extreme6 has the same codes as my Extreme4 look at Dr. Debug in the manual.

    40 Is a memory problem.
    A6 is related to IDE /SATA
    Not all codes seem to be listed, my Z77 has a much larger list.
    AA not mentioned in Dr. Debug is I hope all OK - its the standard display on my Z77 server with a view panel.
