Question X99 Extreme 4: how to use TPM?

    Hi.
On my X99 Extreme 4 motherboard there's a TPM security chip.
What are the steps I need to take in order to set it up and use it?
Also, what is the "TPM Header" for exactly?
    Thanks,
    CrVMo

I've checked the manual of your motherboard. To me, it looks like there is no TPM chip at the mobo, but there is this "TPM Header" where you can plug a TPM module into. This TPU module usually must be bought seperately. It comes with a lot of software, which explains how to use it. For a first view about what this module can do take a look at this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trusted_Platform_Module

Many thanks for clarifying my situation for me.
I'll now investigate getting a TPM to fit the header.
    Best regards,
