Default x79 extrem 9 and ram compatibility

hi everybody, I am french, but after days of researches on the net and on the phone, I am still in the dark...I wanted to suscribe on french Asrock site, but it seems it takes days too... I hope my question will find an answer here, thanks by advance. I baught an Asrock X79 extreme 9 to build my new extreme pc... I wanted to add 32go of DDR3 memory, in 2 x 16go kits, and my choice was the famous Corsair dominator platinum memory kits for it's look and performences. I looked on Asrock home page to find the memory compatibility, and I've noticed that only 2 kinds of corsair dominator was compatible: 1- CMD16GX3M4A2666C11 2- CMD16GX3M4A2800C11 I have spend time on E-trailers sites to find the good kit but every time, the number is a bit different from those two ones. The kits that I managed to find and look the most similar in the number are: CMD16GX3M4A2400C10 CMD16GX3M4A2400C11 CMD16GX3M4A2666C12 can you tell me if one of those kits are compatible with my x79 extreme 9 despite of the little differences in the end of the number, and if they are all, wich one is the best choice (I heard that high frequencies memory are not usefull for overclocked systems..) thank you

    Welcome to the forum.

The Corsair Memory Finder shows two different 4x8GB kits that are compatible with your motherboard.

    step 1: motherboard
    step 2: ASRock
    step 3: X79 Extreme9
    then click on GO

The only kits that they show as compatible are 1600MHz kits.
They don't list any 2x16GB memory kits that are compatible with your X79 Extreme9 motherboard.
