    Default z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Windows 10 install

About to go from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I was downloading the newest drivers and storing them on a flash drive when I noticed something:

The Ethernet drivers aren't compatible with Windows 10, or at least the site doesn't say they are.

    "Broadcom Lan driver ver:14.6.4.2"

    "Windows® XP
    Windows® XP 64bit
    Windows® Vista
    Windows® Vista 64bit
    Windows® 7
    Windows® 7 64bit"

    Source: ASRock > Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
    Anyone have any solution?

Windows 10 has a inbox driver for the network chip on this motherboard. Or, you can download the driver directly from Broadcom:Ethernet NIC NetXtreme® I Desktop/Mobile | Broadcom
Depending on your Windows 10 architecture, select the 32 bit or 64 bit driver 17.2.0.2 dated 10/27/15.

I have an Asus P8Z68Deluxe/Gen3 MB and upgraded from Windows 7 to W10 about 7 months ago. No reformat or looking for any drivers was necessary. Windows 10 upgrade supplied everything I needed. I ran the free version of iobit's driver booster 3 after the W10 install and then uninstalled it. I couldn't be happier with the upgrade for speed and reliability. Just remember to turn off a lot of stuff in the privacy settings when it's over.
    Hope that helps
