Default X99 Professional Gaming i7 and RAM question

Hi. I just got my new mobo X99 Professional Gaming i7. I will update the BIOS to 1.40 if it's not already.
A friend of mine is sending me 32gb of memory and I wanted to know if I will have any compatibility issues and if the XMP will work without any problem.

The memory in not listed in the memory QVL as many more.
    Memory is Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C12 Memory Kit - Black (CMK32GX4M4A2400C12)

I will have 2 of them.
    Do I need other type?
    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

I'm also going to use 2 NVME Samsung PM961 256GB in RAID...will I encounter any problem, with compatibility and RAID?

    Welcome to the forum.

The Corsair Memory Finder shows that Dominator® Platinum Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C15 Memory Kit (CMD32GX4M4A2666C15) is compatible with the X99 Professional motherboard, but there isn't a listing for the X99 Professional Gaming i7 motherboard. From the link, Corsair says:
Part of our exhaustive testing process includes performance and compatibility testing on most every X99 Series motherboard on the market – and a few that aren’t.
I don't like it when memory manufacturers make general statements like "compatible with most every X99 series motherboard"; if they took the time and effort to test it on your specific motherboard model, they should update their compatibility list. It's possible that Corsair hasn't recently updated their memory finder yet for your motherboard.

Contact Corsair memory tech support to see if this memory kit has been tested with your Gaming i7 motherboard or if they have tested any other memory kits with your motherboard.

The memory kit that your friend is sending to you might be compatible, but it's best when you install a memory kit that is included in the motherboard manufacturer's QVL or the memory manufacturer has tested the memory kit with your motherboard.

Good luck, let us know what Corsair recommends.

note: The information above is from the USA Corsair site. I've seen a few instances where a manufacturer's European web site had some compatible memory kits that weren't included in their USA site.
