Default ASRock 2.70 Splash Screen replaces Windows?

With a Z97 Extreme6 board, since updating the BIOS from 2.50 to 2.70 the other day, "ASRock" has replaced the four Windows on the Windows 10 boot screen. Are others seeing that? It's not standard, to say the least.

This is standard with Windows 8-8.1-10 when booting from GPT (needs UEFI supported BIOS) partitioned HDD.

Not so. I've used this board with a GPT set system SSD since last year with Win 8.1 and then 10, and the entire time until the other day, i.e. using 2.50, startup has begun with an ASRock insignia as the firmware runs and then switched over to the standard Windows insignia, as the OS loads. I've been using Windows machines at work and/or home since the late 1980's, and I've never seen a board manufacturer eliminate the Windows startup screen. It's a bad idea on the face of it, since it's not an accurate representation of what the machine is running, and makes troubleshooting more difficult.

At least in my case it's actually worse, because the rotating dots, a standard part of the Windows 10 boot - they are important for helping know what's going on - sometimes do not appear now with 2.70 until late in the Windows start up process, and sometimes not at all. It's even got me thinking of going back to 2.50, if Win 1607 can handle it.
