While downloading freeware from CNet, I apparently also downloaded some sort of malware that has locked me out of my Asus U56e laptop. Not only did I wind up at the Change User screen with "Locked" displayed beneath my user name, but the cursor was frozen, also, so I couldn't do anything except unplug the laptop from power and let the battery run down. Once it had, I then plugged it back in and turned it on again, only to find a message telling me that Windows saved the state the system was last in when it lost power; i.e., I was right back where I left off, locked out with the cursor frozen. My question is, is there a way around this or is my laptop permanently inaccessable?
