    Hi mate.

    I've ended up sending back the PSU, mobo and cpu.

    I tried the thing outside the case but also was the same issue.

    I've told the person I bought them off to test them their ends and if they work then its clearly my incompetence. Although I have a feeling that is one of the parts that are definitely faulty.

    Will report back if they tell me if its faulty or not.

    if you get it back try an over night Cmos clear!!!
    The lights on for the CPU, usually mean a serious issue(either cpu pins or a dead cpu).......................
