Hi, I have run into some power loss failures in my rig.
I get the Event 41 Kernel Power failure in the system event log.

My rig consists of the folowing:
  • Asus Maximus VI Formula (Bios: 1603)
  • intel Core i7-4770K 3.5Ghz
  • Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB 2400MHz DDR3 DIM
  • Asus R9290-DC2OC-4GD5
  • Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD
  • 2x WD Green 1TB
  • Corsair Obsidian 750D Big Tower
  • Corsair Hydro H100i
  • Corsair AX860i
  • Dell UltraSharp U2713HM
  • Razer BlackWidow keyboard
  • Logitech G5 Mouse
  • Running latest version of Windows 8.1

What started happening all of a sudden, is that my rig cuts power completely.
This happens when I watch youtube in fullscreen or whenever.. usually takes a couple of hours.
After the power failure the computer starts up, and then psu clicks and it goes into some sort of boot loop.
I cut the power from the off switch on the PSU, I wait to all power is sucked out of the system and can now boot it up again.

I have not done anything special to the computer, no overclock just the XMP profile for the memory and default bios.
Also the AX PSU does light green when I test it with and without cables. Some times when I tested, it just flicks off again without a green light (weird behavior).

What I have tried with no luck is:
  • Disable fastboot option in windows
  • Reset bios multiple times
  • Taken out the cables and reset them in the PSU
  • Disconnect the Corsair Link

I don't know if this is some kind of power fluctuation in the graphics card that is triggering the surge protection.
Still I have read other people had no luck turning the surge protection off.
Could it be that I've used too much power from the outlet on that wall circuit? Or that the CMOS battery is running out of power?

Any help to this problem would be much appreciated!
