<p>I just installed a new hard drive on my second laptop, so it has no OS yet. I use the <a title="If you need to install or reinstall Windows 10 using a USB or DVD, you can use the media creation tool below to create your own installation media with either a USB flash drive or a DVD. The tool provides file formats optimized for download speed and can be used to create ISO files." href="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Windows 10 Media Creation Tool</a>&nbsp;to prepare a Lexar 16GB drive for installing Windows 10 x64 on my<a href="http://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/ASUS_ZenBook_UX32VD/HelpDesk_Download/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">&nbsp;ASUS ZenBook UX32VD</a>&nbsp;(Intel&reg; Core&trade; i7 3517U Processor), but although the system BIOS correctly begins the boot procedure from the Lexar USB drive (I've chosen the options in the BIOS settings so it will use the UEFI enabled Lexar drive), it stops and the screen goes blank after a brief period of hard drive activity following the Windows 10 logo being shown on screen.</p>
<p>The Lexar drive LED shows that it's being read, the Windows 10 logo shows on the screen, then the spinning<em>loading </em>graphic appears underneath the&nbsp;Windows 10 logo, the screen goes blank while the hard drive is active, then no progress (the screen remains blank).</p>
<p>I've used <a title="If you have a computer without a CD drive, try the beta version of SeaTools Bootable, which uses a flash drive instead. It is still in testing, but works for most systems." href="http://www.seagate.com/files/www-content/support-content/downloads/discwizard/_shared/downloads/DiscWizardSetup-1806030.en.exe" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Seagate's SeaTools application</a> to verify that my hard drive is in fact working correctly, and the hard drive passes all test.</p>
<p>I am not sure how to proceed from here, so I am reaching out to the community for assistance. Thank you for any help!</p>
