Hey people, i wasn't sure where to put this so Audio sounded good to me. Ok heres the deal...

I've just bought a new pc and i thought i'd swap my old mobo with the one that came with the PC cuz its a better board. Now the old mobo didn't have a sound card in, but does now...that works fine. But the new mobo that is in my old pc has no sound on it and i cant figure out why. I've done everything I can think of to get it workin but nothing works...bios is turned to onboard too.

HELP ME! :grr: I'm in the process of selling it to a friend in my room but i cant sell him it till the sound works. I've even done a reinstall and a CMOS wipe and cleared the BIOS. When a game is installed it asks for the sound card...am I missing something simple or do i need to buy him a sound card before it'll work? WILL that even make it work?

Any and all suggestions would be more than helpful. Thanks guys

Firstly, what operating system is it? Have you installed the drivers for the onboard sound?
