Thread: Do video settings stack when I play games?

Let's say I have my video card set for 4X AF, and 2x AA. If I play a game, and in that game set my video options to trilinear filtering, adv blah blah blah, are these effects stacked? Is it better to set my video card settings (like my AA and AF) through the driver, or is it better to go game by game?

This is only my take on it, but...

What you set the card to do is it's max, what it can perform at when it needs.

What you set in the game is how much of that maximum it will use....

So, by setin it to Trillionair, it will use the settings of the card to its full advantage.

    I could be wrong.
