i just got some creative inspire 6.1's...the 6600s, and everythings working ok, except nothing comes out of my sub. im POSITIVE ive hooked everything up right. i think its something im not doing right in windows. i have some cheap soundmax 5.1 mobo sound deal, and i realize that 5.1 and 6.1 dont go together but at least my sub should work. i have a 6.1 audigy 2 coming in the mail any day now. also my front center speaker sounds real low and muffled...like it think its a sub. any thoughts???

    1. I think youve got your center channel and sub channel backwards

    2. Well that tends to mean your reaching their limits, also can mean they going to ****

well like center and sub are the same channel i think. cause in my mobo manual it says the blue hole is for center/sub channel and the other two colors are for rear speaker and front speaker

True, forgot about that. :o But it does sound like possibly a mis-wiring, though I'd wait till you get your Audigy2 to make a definate decision

Best way to see if it's plugged in properly is do a 3D speaker test, where you get a voice playing in every channel saying what it is... There should be a way to do it. I've only ever tried on Creative cards, so it comes with the software..

How are you connected to the Audigy 2? Do you have an option for digital coax or optical?

Also, is there a volume control somewhere for the sub that hasn't been turned up?
