Well, I recently saw a web page that had stats of all different types of info about web users. One of which was resolution. I was shocked to see that still more than 50% of people using 800 X 600 or LOWER ! Only 20% or so were at or above 1280X1024. I haven't been stuck at 800 X 600 for over 8 years already, so I found this pretty shocking.

I expect that most of you are more of the 'power user' category, and therefore use a higher res, but to what extent, I would like to find out.

So, select which resolution you use on your main computer, or main two computers if you use two computers on a consistant basis.

If your resolution is not listed that pick the res that most closely matches what you have. I did not leave an 'other' category for this reason.

added a few more to it, ya never know ;)

I'd love to use a higher resolution, but 1024x768 (@85) is the optimal viewing on my monitor :tears:

In real life ya'd find that the 800 x 600 or less even higher (closer to 70% in fact). This has declined since XP was introduced but still high where b4 the figure was closer to 85%.

    1024 x 768 @ 85Hz dual 17" monitors for me.

that wouldn't surprise me. in the office I work in, everyone that isn't using a notebook uses a 17" (or larger) monitor, and they all use 800x600. The only ones that don't are the 3 males in the office (including myself), but we've all had at least a little above average PC experience.

    I do 1280x1024 @ 75hz.

Gaming I usually run 1024x768 @ 100hz, as thats all my 4200 can handle. It does make a very pretty 1280x1024 desktop though.

My monitor defaults to 60hz, and I have no reason to boost it up.

    I do desktop work at 1152 x 864 @ 60hz, and games at either 1024 x 768 or 1240 x 1024 @ 60hz. Older games, naturally, go at higher resolutions. I find the tradeoff between 1600 x 1200 and 1240 x 1024 simply not worth the performance decrease.

I use a 15 in ch LCD at home mostly which runs at 1024x768 and I run at 1024x768 on the 17" CRT at work. I have a laptop with 1600x1200 screen that i use now and then. and there's a 19 in CRT which runs at either 1024x768 or 1600x1200 depending on whomever is using at at home..
