    This is getting ridiculous,

    Video Card: GeForce 4 MX440 8X AGP
    Motherboard: ASUS A7V8X-X

First I blow two motherboards, and I finally get a new one in. When I finally get it back from my friend who brought it in, the screen has a purplish tinge to it. I have had this before, but I would just adjust my monitor cable so that it's not too near the subwoofer (it's not shielded) and the problem would be fine. This time the tinge is staying put, because I have taken the subwoofer away from under my desk and it didn't solve the problem.

One thing that I am concerned about is that the computer was in the back of my friend's car for at least 3 hrs and the temperature outside dropped to about -26C by the time he finally got it here. I may have been too hasty in my excitement and turned it on after only about 15 to 20 mins in normal room temperature. I am hoping this did not damage the card and is causing this problem.

I emailed the guy who installed the board and asked him if he had this problem while checking to see if everything was alright.

    Any suggestions?

Hmm, im not sure about any of this, btu heres some facts.

-26C wont break a system. People have sucessfuly submerged mobos in dry Ice + refrigerant that was well under -40 C.

After prolonged exposure to the subwoofer the cable may have become permantly damaged, and you might just be screwed. One way to test this is use a magnet and put it by the cord and see if you can find a place where its adjusted that its normal. If you do, you're probably ****ed.

I refreshed the monitor several times before I even thought of posting here.

    Unfortunately, it didn't work

Right now I have the blinds open, and the purple tinge is really dark. Very annoying.
