Thread: plz help me...my gf wont let me play games with sound

    i broke my laptop headphone jack and cannot use headphones any more....hoping and praying someone can tell me how to switch the line in jack to a line out/headphone jack....plz help me...my gf will not let me play games with sound...any help would be appreciated thank you

    sorry but you'll have to get the jack repaired, there's no other way afaik :shrug:
    I've gone too far and need to move on!

    actually, i may have been a little hasty with that comment :o

    If you have USB, there are USB headphones you can buy, although they're not too cheap, but probably cheaper than getting the jack repaired
    I've gone too far and need to move on!

    good looks on the usb headphones...im lookin for them now....but you inspired me to think of a usb a/v converter.....then i could hook into a stereo and not bug her.....we both thank you hehe

    Make sure if you get a usb device like this, that your usb ports can handle it(same version).

    I've been using the Labtec Axis-712 Digital USB Headset for quite some time (on my 3rd headset during about 2yrs of use, I have a bad habit of stepping on them), it has amazing sound for a reasonable price.. another one to check out is whatever Plantronics newest model is now, it was the DSP-500 but it was discontinued for a new product release last I checked... its a little better sound, but a fairly higher pricetag

    Well I've got the DSP-500 and it's probably the best headset I have ever used. The only problem I have had was the amount of money I had to pay for it :)
