    Default Sound Card Decision

Any advice on a creative sound card that can be hooked up 2 a home amp running 5.2 setup, its the normal 5.1 setup only with a extra 12" carbon fibre sub meaning 5 speakers surround and 2 12" c/f subz.

Get an Audigy 2 ZS OEM card as they are very cheap and will do what you want. Excellent sound quality as well. You may need to get the platinum version for the proper outputs to attach it to a home stereo, it all depends on what inputs your reciever/amplifier has.

I agree, any Creative from Audigy up will output good quality sound with mininal distortion. If you have a free optical input, many soundcards, even cheap ones, have an optical out.

You still have 5.1, the numbers designate the output channels, not number of speakers.
