Default why showing 700mhz graphics card memory speed when it should be 1400mhz?

    hi guys!

i have the geforce 7950 gt graphics card by palit which has 1400mhz memory speed.

my problem is when i use ati tool, it says my memory speed is 700mhz.

does anybody know why this is?

my card came with palit's overclocking software and that says 700mhz aswell.

look forward to your replies guys!

Graphics card memory is DDR which means Double data Rate. 700 times 2 is 1400, therefore its fine. Always remember ati tool always measures it this way. There is an option in ati tool to show it as ddr if that really bothers you.
