Default Creative Extigy External Sound Card

Is the Creative Extigy External Sound Card any good? I need an external sound card WITH a MIDI outlet. Not the Audigy, with the internal and external.

mostly say that extigy uses a lots of cpu cicles, given the usb connection, i think this should be real. itīs something like to plug your broadband modem in the usb connector, it works.. but any continuous full load in the cpu, and the connection fails, or so...

but with and audigy, the usb should be much more busy than with a broadband modem... i think its a good idea if you REALLY need an external part... but I do not recomend it to play games or to stress the system while using the device.. but if you need to work with sound editing, midi in, etc.. it should be ok!

but they are pretty expensive, don't?
