    Default canīt crossfire x1650pro

Hi people, Iīm new to this forum, and I wanna make a question about a problem I got.

I got a club3d x1650pro card, and I wanted to crossfire it (I saw a review about it in tweaktown with ice q), so I bought a second one and I installed them in my board. But when I go to Catalyst Control Center (drivers version 7.1) the crossfire checkbox is greyed out, and I canīt make crossfire. I took a look to my motherboardīs bios (1804) and I canīt find any option for enabling it. How can I crossfire them? Looking to the review I saw they needed no cable.

    Thankxx

Easy cougar, not all staff members monitor the boards on a daily basis.

Regarding your issue, the Asus website shows this board to support CrossFire technology so you have the first problem covered. When you installed the second board did you receive a notation that Windows had found the new device? It should have automatically loaded the drivers and given you the balloon by the system tray indicating it was ready to use. After this step you need to reboot.

I'm not sure if the 1650 works in a different way, but I have paired 2 X1900 series boards in CrossFire with success on a Gigabyte mainboard.

Yeah, I installed the second card correctly and got 2 primary and 2 secondary x1650pro at device manager. But I still canīt enable crossfire, altough I see 4 screens in catalyst control panel.

Is the monitor plugged into PCI-E slot #1?

May also be a BIOS issue with the Asus board, but I can't help you much there since I haven't used many Asus boards and am not familiar with their settings. Adrian's Rojak Pot has an excellent BIOS guide that may be helpful in that area if the manual does not help you any.
