Default Issue with my 8800 GTX

I have an 8800 GTX, eVGA, bought it right here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130072. I installed nTune along with my nForce680i mobo and was looking at the current specs.

I noticed that the GPU overclocking options have a Core Bus and a Memory Bus override options. The Optimal finding for them is 547 Core Bus and 900 Memory Bus. Now, that is low compared to what the site says is 575 Core and 1800 Memory.

I might be missing something huge, and i'm not really going to overclock anything, except maybe my CPU and my Ram later, but i do want to make sure everything is running where it at least should be. Any thoughts? I'm leaving it on "Factory Settings" right now.l

The core is definitely alittle low, but the memory is up to specs. 900x2 = 1800

Ah, so the memory is times two. I didn't know that, good info.

I think it's a bit wierd that the optimal it finds is less than the factory setting. Do you think i should try coolbits and see what it gives me? Again, this is just research, i'm not planning on overclocking... yet.

nTune is buggy as hell. Do you guys use anything else to OC your GPU and CPU?

I've also noticed that the "detect optimal" is WAY below the max clock my cards were capable of. I use ATI Tool (yes it works with Nvidia cards) and raise the clocks until artifacts show up..then back down ~10-20Mhz depending on temps.

I did use Riva Tuner, and it is working correctly with a slight OC on my video card, just to see if it sticks.

No, i am on to OCing my CPU and RAM.

I'm having a hard time OCing my CPU though, the bios i have has it shaded out, and i can't seem to unlock it.

Yeah..I left that part out..DOH! I don't use ATItool to set the clocks, only to stress the GPU and monitor the temps. I used the unlocked Nvidia drivers to actually set the clocks.

What do you mean unlocked Nvidia drivers? And if you say nTune i'll shoot you.
