    Default Help to connect lcd tv

    <HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
    Lo all, sorry if this has been put on before but i cannot find it if it has.
    I have just got a Samsung 32"Lcd tv, tried to connect my pc to it this morning but all i get is the windows load up bar then a message on the screen saying Not Supported Mode. I looked through the tv manual and this says about max res of gfx card and the frequency of the video adaptor.
    Do i need to change the setting of gfx card when it's still on the moniter before i change it over to the tv ?
    The tv is a Samsung LE32R88BD 32" LCD and the card is X1950 Pro...
    Any help welcome.....Thanks all

    Yep, you already figured it out. You have to change the resolution to one supported by the television BEFORE you hook it to the new display or it won't work. I've had this issue with new LCD displays at work when changing them from a CRT.

    It really sounds like the PC is putting out an un-supported video resolution by the TV so check your TV manual for supported resolutions and adjust your PC's video output resolution to suit before connecting to the TV.
